Nicole has been with Rosedale Dental Studio since we opened in 2020. She is a 2019 graduate of San Joaquin Valley College, where she had a 4.0 GPA, the highest in her class. She earned her RDA certification shortly after that. You can find Nicole doing everything from mopping the floors to assisting Dr. Nicole Chen during procedures. She interacts with every patient who visits our office and prides herself on giving everyone a pleasant and enjoyable experience.
Our practice feels more like family to Nicole. Dr. Chen makes working at the office fun because she is constantly introducing state-of-the-art equipment, giving Nicole the chance to learn new things. Away from the office, Nicole looks forward to hiking, camping, reading and listening to music.
Alfonso holds bachelor’s degrees in economics and Latin American studies from Carleton College and has an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Prior to Rosedale Dental Studio, Alfonso was a management consultant, advising, designing and implementing solutions for corporate executives' most important initiatives. He has expertise in finance, sales and business process management.
"In support of my wife's vision of doing dentistry differently, I chose to leave a lucrative career and move our family to Bakersfield. Both Dr. Nicole and I realized that doing dentistry differently required a unique approach to building, designing and managing a practice. I enjoy managing all administrative aspects of the practice because doing dentistry differently means that every interaction with our office is handled with the utmost care."
Valencia graduated at the top of her class at the United Education Institute in 2019. In 2020, she received her registered dental assistant certification, the same year that she joined our team. Dr. Nicole Chen has been very supportive of Valencia’s career, and she was able to get the experience she need to become an RDA, all while using the latest in dental technology.
Valencia appreciates the family-centered atmosphere at Rosedale Dental Studio and the way that Dr. Nicole Chen and her husband, Alfonso, focus on building relationships. Valencia enjoys getting to know and interacting with every patient and creating an extended family.
